Description

Our company continues to grow and is currently seeking a Lock Shop Technician (Basic mechanical or locksmith experience would be an asset) (no experience is necessary, just willing and eager to learn) to work with us in our Edmonton Branch.


Duties include:


  • Design and maintain master key systems
  • Rekey locks to customer requirement
  • Assist in inventory control
  • Follow policies for restricted key
  • Prepare customer orders for field technicians
  • Service and repair various locks, door hardware and other security devices
  • Answering shop phones
  • Parts preparation
  • Key cutting, pinning and fixing locks
  • Other duties as required
  • Assist in shipping and receiving

Experience requirements:


  • Proven diagnostic skills able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license is mandatory
  • Experience in delivering highquality customer service to a broad range of customer
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Forklift license would be an asset
  • Selfmotivated and calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Works well independently, takes direction well
  • The ability to lift in excess of 25 Kilos
  • Must be willing to undertake a criminal background check on an annual basis
  • Punctual and reliable
