    We're currently hiring for open positions in the US and Canada. We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name.     Job Description:

    Production Planner should have strong ability to help plan and organize production assignments, keep track of production activities, contribute to the management of work team, be analytical, collaborates with management and supervisor teams with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

    This position generally requires at least five (5) years' experience in production management with a highly valued manufacturer.

    Role #1: Planner 100 % of time:

    Responsibilities:

    • Diligently verifies availability of inventory, delivery and release dates of raw materials, components to suit production plan objectives.
    • Ensures work order entry accuracy, maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing inventory control points and equipment; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process controls; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
    • Close work orders the work order si completed in a timely fashion in order to be able to release the parts into inventory and then consume them on projects.
    • Enterprise Resource Planning, (ERP) system maintenance and improvements.
    • Alert ELS and DT teams and report as soon as possible to any issues in order to set daily/weekly/monthly production plan and communicates information to achieve solutions to on time delivery to customers.
    • Accurately assesses problems, investigates issues, evaluates options, provides solutions and makes sound recommendations to improve productivity, positively affecting quality and health and safety.
    • Meticulously verifies documentation and work quality with other team members.
    • Attends weekly production meetings to set realistic short- and medium-term schedules.
    • Responding to questions from the management team with or on behalf of the Resource Manager.
    • Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
    • Work with the accounting department to facilitate processes and maintain accurate records.
    • Work with Engineering to ensure work order BOM's are complete and accurate in order that inventory and reorder points are properly set up.
    • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
    • General routine office IT support and building security system management.
    • IT contractor oversight (LAN, software, hardware file storage, back up and internet security)

    2.Education

    • Post-secondary education with relevant designation or manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Computer software courses in Microsoft ERP Systems, Word and Excel (especially excel), and any project management.
    • Familiar with computers and their requirements

    3.Experience

    • Prefer 3 to 5 years of proven experience as Production leader or other similar position.
    • Ability to read specifications and blue print drawings is an asset
    • Demonstrates previous experience building exceptional relationships utilizing communication, listening and negotiation techniques
    • ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics NAV
    • Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes an asset
    • An asset to interpret information on job orders
    • Thorough knowledge of the standard business practices, tools and terminology and services for a manufacturer of custom and standard products
    • Previously met challenging but realistic goals

    4. Job Qualifications and Training Requirements

    • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently meeting the requirements of timely deadlines
    • Demonstrates ability to learn technical aspects of ELS products
    • Critical thinking and problem solving
    • Ability to travel to vendor or client facilities with moderate –low overnight travel, if required
    • Required to maintain valid driver's license and provide drivers abstract related to company insurance to use or drive any ELS vehicle if required
