    By providing overall administrative support in accordance with FDU policies and protocols, the Work Integrated Learning Program Coordinator will conduct tasks such as guiding employers to facilitate meaningful student work experiences and successful placements, recruiting students for the work-integrated learning program, designing and delivering internship orientation and pre-employment training (in-person and online), advising students to prepare for internship search, monitoring student work terms, visiting practicum sites and addressing any workplace issues that students encounter, and marketing the program to employers.

    The incumbent is expected to work independently and collaboratively on daily tasks and special projects, as well as collaborate with other key internal and external constituent groups.

    Provide employment coaching and overall guidance to students towards developing realistic goals and internship search plan based on their program of study.

    Design, develop, and facilitate comprehensive job search workshops and training sessions on all aspects of work-integrated learning goals and career development.

    Provide relevant and accurate information regarding the internship process and requirements.
    Monitor and provide ongoing support during and after completion of the internship program.

    Manage, liaise with, and grow a base of internship employers by researching and developing internship opportunities based on the needs of student interns and their programs of study.

    Liaise with corporations, government agencies, and employment service providers for internship placements.
    Conduct internship site visits to evaluate student performance in the workplace and help resolve performance issues.

    Well organized, results oriented, and able to set priorities and manage time efficiently.

    A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business or in a discipline that emphasizes career development, counseling, experiential learning, adult education, management, communication, or a related discipline.

    A minimum of 3+ years of related work experience in work-integrated learning or co-op coordination, recruitment, human resources, or business development.

    Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated in managing partner relationships.
    Fluency in a second language and experience with international students/employers an asset.
    Canadian residency or work permit required.

    Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Insurance Number.
