    DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

    • Support Product Development activities such as sample preparation and labeling
    • Mix, pack, label, arrange for shipment, and track samples as required
    • Maintain fresh ingredient stock in the laboratory by obtaining ingredients and recording shelf life
    • Prepare finished products for internal and external evaluations
    • Assisting in supplier and technical group presentations and product/ingredient evaluations through cooking, aiding in plate presentation, and serving
    • Aiding senior PD staff in process applications as required
    • Perform sensory evaluations including preparing products, setting up tests, and assisting with running panels
    • Perform other PD tasks as assigned by senior Product Development staff
    • Contact ingredient vendors for information or samples as directed by senior PD staff
    • Sanitation and organization in the laboratory

      QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

      • Degree or Diploma in food science or related discipline
      • 1-2 years' experience in food technology or food processing
      • Meticulous attention to small quantities and detail oriented
      • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
      • Good computer skills (knowledge of SAP, DevEx, and Lotus Notes is an asset)
      • Ability to handle a wide variety of duties and prioritize effectively
      • Willingness to learn and grow in the job
