Description
Levitt-Safety is currently recruiting a Shop Technician to inspect and maintain fire and life safety equipment such as extinguishers, cylinders, breathing apparatus, and other equipment that keeps our customers in the Oakville area safe every day.
About the RoleBased primarily in our shop in Oakville, you will be provided full training to support our customers and mobile technicians.
You will build your career with us through formal technical training and certifications from our manufacturers, as well as hands-on training with our experienced team.
As you build your skills and experience, you'll have the opportunity to progress to a mobile technician role, working in the field on customer sites to maintain equipment, conduct fit testing, and become a critical Face of Levitt-Safety to our customers.

- Mechanical aptitude, a passion for safety and great communication skills are the most important qualifications as our new team member
- A valid drivers' license and clean drivers abstract is required
- Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent handson role is a strong asset
- Prior customer service experience will help you work effectively with our customers, both internal and external
- You are naturally good with technology, and are used to working with computers and mobile devices
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity is required for this role involving work with all types of equipment, tools, and small parts
