  • Safe Bed Program (Part Time, 12 Month Contract)

The Role and Opportunity:

The Canadian Mental Health Association is looking for a Residential Support Worker (RSW) for the Safe Bed Program.

The
Safe Bed Program provides
_ _24-hour on-site residential support and short-term case management services to individuals living with mental illness who have been involved with the criminal justice system.

Hourly Rate:
$29.74


Work Location: 940 Wilson Avenue, North York

Work Hours:
Fridays from 10:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the Program Manager, the RSW work closely with the team to supporting clients. The RSW will work out of the Wilson Site and be required to work every Fridays from 10:00pm to 8:30am.
The RSW will be required to provide on-site direct service provision and support clients based on their goals. They will conduct intake assessments will orient clients to the programs and services as well crisis interventions as needed. The purpose of the RSW will be to perform residential duties and maintain a safe, clean and secure environment. The RSW will also respond to the telephone registry inquiries regarding crisis bed availability.


The RSW will also be required to maintain trusting, respectful and collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues; service providers and other community supports.
