Shift:
Night shift

Job Scope:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this full-time position is responsible for the timely preparation of product formulations and ensuring the formulations meet requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate automated processing equipment including product formulation through ingredient preparation, weight monitoring, mixing, and pasteurizing.

Blend product according to formulations and complete necessary documentation.
Record accurate and detailed processing records.
Interact with maintenance and supervisory staff regarding processing issues.
Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping.
Prepare packaging for bulk cheese filling.
Collecting all samples required by the Quality department for testing purposes.
Attend prescribed courses and training as required.

Qualifications:

3+ years of relevant food or dairy processing experience preferred.
Postsecondary education in a technical field considered an asset.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including excellent sanitary habits, and knowledge of HACCP and HTST pasteurizing systems as applied to a dairy processing plant.
Milk and cream Graders' Certificate and HTST pasteurizer course are considered an asset.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good communication skills, including written and verbal.
Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting abilities.
Must be flexible in terms of shift work and perform other duties as required.
Ability to lift 50lbs
