FSC's (Facility Security Coordinators) are responsible to ensure that our international volume is screened in order to minimize the security risk to our air network.

UPS FSC's are team leaders who oversee the daily operations in the designated screening area. You are responsible to ensure that our screeners properly screen packages via X-Ray machine, ETD, and physical search.

You will develop and support the team to ensure regulatory compliance and legislation is maintained with all applicable laws and regulations in accordance with the US (TSA) and Canada (TC) and UPS standards.

Location: 100 Simmonds Dr Dartmouth, NS B3B 1N
Permanent Part-Time
Shift: 3 PM 8 PM (approx.)
Pay Rate: starting wage $17.07 per hour

Job Duties:

Develop and maintain an indepth knowledge of US (TSA) and Canadian (TC) regulatory requirements and legislation relating to aviation security in order to identify any potential impact to UPS business
Communicate with management on any issues that arise during the operation
Create a positive work environment and offer support to screeners
Maintain daily reports
Maintain regular maintenance on XRay and ETD machines
Train internal security screeners on screening methods (XRay, ETD, Physical Search)
Perform routine audits to ensure that TSA and TC regulations are being met
Oversee UPS Canada's screening program (X-Ray, ETD, Physical search)

Qualifications:

Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Ability to lift 70lbs
Strong problemsolving skills, with ability to multitask, independent
Excellent communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excel knowledge an asset
Ability to work in a fastpaced warehouse environment
Attention to detail

Compensation:

Starting wage $17.07 / per hour
Paid weekly every Friday
