Position Summary


Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is the first point of contact for marketing support across the College and is responsible for tracking the execution of all marketing projects from initiation to completion.

This includes communicating with stakeholders to understand their needs, providing marketing solutions to meet stakeholder goals and objectives, assigning tasks to Marketing and Creative Services team members, monitoring task progress to ensure deadlines are being met, and liaising with external vendors for print production.


The incumbent will work closely with the client and members of the Marketing and Creative Services team to understand their target audience, project goals and objectives to recommend marketing channels and tactics.

Once channels and tactics have been determined, the Marketing Coordinator will assign the respective tasks to their colleagues within Marketing and Creative Services to ensure the team works in unison to complete the project.

The incumbent creates a workback schedule to ensure all team members are aware of deadlines and deliverables.

Depending on the project the Marketing Coordinator reviews the first draft of completed artwork and provides feedback and input based on the college's brand guidelines, AODA guidelines, and their knowledge of marketing best practices.


In addition, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all creative production by collaborating on production specs with Marketing and Creative Services team members, liaising with external vendors to get quotes, sending artwork to print, coordinating press approvals, and scheduling deliveries.


Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for receiving marketing requests from within the College. Works with Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, as well other Marketing and Creative Services team members as needed, to provide guidance and support for client marketing needs, reinforcing the college's brand guidelines and AODA guidelines, and explaining the policies and procedures of the Marketing and Creative Services department.
  • In consultation with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, plan organize and prioritize work for the social media team, web team, and graphic designers. Ensure projects are on time and shift responsibilities as necessary.
  • Coordinate the production and delivery of all printed and promotional material by liaising with external vendors. Compile production specifications and quotes for print materials and track budget while monitoring the performance and compliance of vendors.
  • Manage and nurture external vendor relationships.
  • Ensure all marketing material is AODA compliant and adheres to the college's brand standards
  • Coordinate photoshoots
  • Research and investigate marketing trends

Qualifications/Experience

  • Three (3) year diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Media, Project Management, Creative Design or a related area of study
  • Minimum three (3) years of practical work experience in marketing, advertising or media
  • Demonstrated success with print and digital production
  • Strong written and oral communication, project management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and timelines


Proof of credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post secondary institutions and/or their foreign equivalents will be required at the time of job offer.
