Cabot Canada Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Packing and Shipping Operator to join our team in Sarnia, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely performing warehousing duties inclusive of bulk loading, packing and shipping of carbon black to meet customer requirements.
How You Will Make an Impact
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensures proper packaging, storing, labeling, loading and unloading of final product.
• Prepares and packs orders for shipment; checks and prepares documentation; loads shipment into carriers.
• Operates material handling equipment and follows quality and safety standards.
• Operates a forklift truck to transport goods and materials throughout the plant.
• Operates other equipment such as palletizing equipment, sweeper, etc.
• Conducts general and support preventative maintenance on all process and support equipment.
• Collects final product samples for quality control testing.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
Requirements:
o Minimum Grade 12 graduate with technical post-graduate certification. Chemical Production, Instrumentation & Control Engineering and Millwright/Mechanical 2 or 3 year program graduates preferred.
o Demonstrate a heightened awareness of safety.
o Good physical condition – able to climb, lift and withstand heights.
o Ability to interpret operating instructions.
o Demonstrate solid written, verbal and listening communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
o AZ license considered an asset.
o Ability to respond to changing work situations
