Manager - HR Employee Experience

What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Manager - HR Employee Experience within our Human Resources division.

This position falls under our Corporate Overhead line of business and is located in San Mateo, CA, Beaverton, OR or Vancouver, CAN.

In this role, you will lead the daily operations of the Employee Experience team, coaching and developing team members, aligning HR strategy with organizational goals, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

This role oversees people-related activities from both operational and strategic viewpoints, partnering with strategic partners to ensure alignment, and providing HR support to managers and staff throughout Corpay US and Canada.

You will report directly to the VP of HR Employee Experience and regularly collaborate with HR Operations.

Role Responsibilities


The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • HR Partner support across the employee lifecycle:
  • Responsible for providing advice as a key HR partner on activities, including Performance and Disciplinary issues, Training & Development, Performance Management and Change
  • Making improvements to HR practices and implementing changes to processes, policies, and procedures to improve employment practices across all businesses.
  • Ensuring full compliance with legislative requirements in the US and Canada for both HR Practices and HR Documentation
  • Developing and implementing a monthly review for HR strategy in line with the business plan. Ensuring HR plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization
  • Providing line manager support:
  • Providing coaching to line managers to increase their knowledge of employment law and ability to manage employee relations matters.
  • Creating, analyzing, and interpreting management information in order to advise line managers of potential people issues and work with them to resolve e.g. absence, managing annual leave balances, exit interview feedback, etc.
  • Advising and supporting line managers through informal and formal performance processes.
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures are up to date and reflecting current employment legislation, including localizing global policies for the US and Canada.
  • Managing and monitoring international movements of employees into the region, including liaison with immigration when necessary.
  • Responsible for supporting and leading HR solutions in alignment with the business strategies of assigned business group(s) and/or location(s).
  • Management responsibilities:
  • As the HR Employee Experience Manager, you will have direct oversight of the daily workflow within the Employee Experience team

This involves:

  • Supervising and coordinating the team's activities to ensure efficient and effective execution of responsibilities.
  • Offering constructive feedback and conducting regular performance evaluations to support the professional development of team members.
  • Conducting Regular Checkins with Direct Reports.
  • Conducting Annual Performance Reviews and Goal Setting with Direct Reports
  • Performance, development, and culture:
  • Providing consultation and coaching to managers on employee relations and performance management matters. Handling employee relations issues directly, conduct investigations, and propose solutions. Monitoring and supporting line managers in the performance management process, ensuring accurate performance recording and timely resolution of performance issues in accordance with procedures.
  • Assisting with management of performance management framework, including coaching managers on setting appropriate SMART goals and CORPAY behavioral competencies.
  • Ensuring completion of performance management reviews by March each year to feed into the salary review process.
  • Proactively advising line managers on communication to staff in respect of peoplerelated information.
  • Other Duties:
  • Leading HR programs and projects
  • HR research, project management, reporting/ analytics, and champion HR initiatives.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of Human Resources or similar operations experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications include PHR and SHRM.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an operational HR role for a minimum of 8 years
  • Change management experience including restructures, and acquisitions
