Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 3200 Sec 50, "Law and Social Work".

This course is part of the BSW program, and will be offered in the Summer term, from May-June 2024.

Note:
this is an online course.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments.

Distance courses are taught using an online learning management system (LMS) known as Brightspace. Distance courses require on-line availability for consultation with students. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: This position requires an understanding of law and how it relates to social work practices, as well as familiarity of practice areas of law, such as the courts, victim services, parole, etc.

A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, preferably with online teaching.
