Job summary
We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer with deep experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to help stabilize, optimize and scale an existing production system that processes high-volume webhook traffic and batch data workloads.The role involves working on a mature Python codebase currently deployed on Google App Engine identifying infrastructure and performance bottlenecks implementing architectural improvements to ensure reliability under burst traffic conditions..
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on performance scalability and production excellence rather than greenfield feature development.,
- Analyze and enhance an existing Python (3.x) production codebase hosted on Google Cloud Platform. ,
- Optimize high-throughput webhook processing handling 30,000–50,000+ webhooks per day including burst traffic scenarios. ,
- Design implement immediate-response architectures with asynchronous background processing to meet strict external webhook timeouts. ,
