Kaneff Group is excited to be adding a
Superintendent to our Commercial Construction team

Reporting Relationship:

This role reports directly to the Commercial Construction Manager.

Responsibilities:

Provide overall construction management & oversight including following the design, budget and scheduling guidelines, under the leadership of the Commercial Construction Manager, and the Owners, Engineers and Architects;
Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the team's ongoing progression;
Assure construction compliance with design requirements and construction schedule by supervising and coordinating site trades, other site management, field engineering and construction activities;
Follow all health and safety guidelines in order to create and maintain a safe work environment on the job site;
Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development;
Be present on site as necessary to oversee any and all construction activities;
Create, maintain, and executes the project plan and schedule;
Last Planner System experience and implementation would be an asset;
Creation, implementation, updating and monitoring of the project schedule;
Creation and implantation of project logistics plans;
Ability to liaison with other general contractors and tenant fitout contractors in a calm and professional manner to ensure successful execution of all work Kaneff related;
Review, organize, manage & maintain all pertinent site documentation;
Ensure compliance with the company's health and safety requirements;

Qualifications:

Bachelors' degree/College diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, journeyperson certificate, or a related discipline;
58 years of demonstrated Site Superintendent experience;
IHSA Basics of Supervising Ontario Certified;
Fall arrest training and all required certificates required for supervisory work;
Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and quality control best practices, and an understanding of engineering drawings;
Team player with experience delegating tasks and mentoring staff;
Exceptional customer service and problemsolving skills;
Sound discretion and judgement;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project;
Thorough understanding of contract language;
Ability to prioritize and meet deadline;
Ability to oversee multiple projects as necessary;
Valid G Class drivers license.
