Training Coordinator (FT contract till march ,possibility of Ext.)


Position Overview:

-
This is a contract role till 31st March 2024, with the possibility of an extension:

  • Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the Training Coordinator at 360 Kids plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of compliance, growth, and continuous learning within the organization.
  • The primary purpose of this role is to meticulously manage and oversee the implementation of compliance training initiatives while strategically tracking and aligning training efforts with the evolving needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, organize, and deliver comprehensive compliance training programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify compliance training needs and ensure employees have a clear understanding of their responsibilities.
  • Partner with the HR department to design and facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing HRrelated training sessions on topics such as diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and performance management.
  • Design and implement customized training programs that align with the organizational goals and foster employee development.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new training methodologies, incorporating relevant advancement into training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all training activities, including attendance, assessments, and feedback.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through regular assessments, surveys, and data analysis, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and formats, including workshops, elearning modules, and presentations, to engage participants and enhance their learning experience.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions, demonstrations, and presentations, ensuring participants easily understand and retain content.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


  • Completion of Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional is an asset.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Current vulnerable sector screening (criminal background check).
  • Car and valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong office administration skills, including accuracy, organization, ability to multitask, and computer knowledge.
  • Strong administration and leadership skills, including motivation, delegation, coaching/mentoring, empowerment and demonstrated initiative.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions and work independently, strong personal ethics, integrity, reliable, time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable solid oral and written communication with all levels of staff, the public and clients while maintaining objectivity.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, employment partners, community agencies and the public with a working knowledge of York Region services.
