Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales department with various administration tasks.
  • Coordination of domestic and international shipments for all house packages working with sales, clients, head shipper, freight, and brokerage companies using effective and timely communication.
  • Administer and maintain all shipping and customs paperwork for house package shipments to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and meet client expectations
  • Contact preferred carriers for freight rates for house packages, update shipping quote spreadsheet, and advise sales staff on quotes
  • Keep freight tracking records; help approve freight bills
  • Regular updates to the Production shipping schedule as needed
  • Update the Shipping Coordinator's SOP Manual
  • Help reduce shipping claims and improve shipping processes through frequent monitoring of projects, clear communication, and establishing trusted relationships
  • Coordinate with clients regarding shipping schedules and requirements as needed
  • Other administrative that will be developed based on the skill set of the successful applicant

Qualifications

  • Experience in freight/shipping/customs
  • Proficient use of various officebased software including Microsoft Office, Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) including the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Having an openness to learning new systems and improving processes
  • Effective organizational/time management skills
  • Ability to establish priorities to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are a must

Pay Range $50,000 to $55,000 Annually
