Job Description:


As a Clinical Psychologist at Fairmarc Psychology Centre, you will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapy to a diverse range of clients.

We prioritize understanding each individual's unique needs, empowering them to develop effective coping strategies, gain self-awareness, and achieve positive transformations.

In collaboration with our experienced professionals, you will have the autonomy to tailor treatment plans, ensuring a personalized and impactful approach for every client.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions, implementing evidencebased interventions and utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients, ensuring a safe and nonjudgmental space for open dialogue and healing.
  • Foster a clientcentered approach, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs and goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychotherapists, social workers, and dietitians, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of psychology through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.
D. or Psy.
D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing treatment plans.
  • Proficiency in delivering evidencebased therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups.
  • Experience working with individuals with eating disorders is highly desired and will be considered an added bonus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build strong therapeutic alliances.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fastpaced environment.
