The Opportunity:

The Hydrogeology Data Specialist is a member of the Global Engineering Apps Information Management (IM) team.

You will work with our IM team, groups of engineers and scientists using our Geo IM and Chemistry IM Systems, vendors, developers, IT Team and Project Managers to evaluate, configure, manage, explain, improve, and troubleshoot the user experience and efficient workflows for managing technical data from data collection through reporting.

Our IM team uses a scrum-based methodology to deliver quality results in time.

A day in the life:

***- Work with project managers, IM specialists, and business groups configuring workflows, templates, reports, and sections and delivering results on a frequent cycle.

  • Work with scientific and engineering field staff to configure and rollout digital tools for tabletbased field data capture.
  • Work with technical communities of hydrogeologists, geochemists, geotechnical engineers and other engineers and scientists to configure Excel templates connected to third party SQL databases (OpenGround Cloud, EQuIS, KeyLAB etc.).
  • Work with scientific and engineering staff, IM team, and vendors to create efficient data workflows for getting data from field tests into the appropriate databases and formatted for various analyses which may include numerical model inputs, 3D visualizations, etc.
  • Support users of IM systems with technical questions, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Create How to Guides explaining use of templates and IM systems (stepbystep guides and short videos).
  • Work with offices and regional groups to migrate existing data into enterprise IM systems.
  • Configure or work with 3rd party vendors configure borehole log templates, map templates, and other reports to display hydrogeologic, environmental, and geotechnical data.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing templates and reports.
  • Configure Power BI reports connected to third party SQL databases.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible ad ethical decisionmaking regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
