Sun Life Canada is embarking on a rapid growth trajectory in an effort to provide its customers with leading solutions in Group Benefits, Health and Wealth as well as a robust digital experience.
Reporting to the Director, Capital Initiatives within the Canadian Finance team, this role will play a key role in reporting on capital business drivers and optimizing capital.
What will you do?
- Develop a deep understanding of capital and capital business drivers to identify potential capital optimization opportunities and collaborate with business areas to assess and execute initiatives
- Support the capital planning and forecast processes by enhancing the capital projection models and forecasting capital
- Partner with Business Units, Finance and Actuarial, ALM, and Corporate to build robust capital planning and forecasting models
- Support the quarterly financial business results reporting to senior leaders of Canada's ROE and capital generation
- Perform indepth analysis on how investment and business actions impact capital and expand the capital reporting in the quarterly financial business results

What do you need to succeed?
- ASA and/or ACIA designation or close to achieving it
- Superior technical, analytical, and problemsolving skills, including the ability to think creatively and approach challenges from many angles
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with leaders, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Selfmotivated and resultsoriented
Preferred:
- Experience working at a Life Insurance Company
- Experience in with actuarial valuation, capital reporting, and/or asset liability management would be an asset
