- Define target application architecture across ERP (Dynamics 365 Business Central), CRM, MES, PLM, QMS, and analytics platforms in collaboration with subject matter experts and department leaders
- Develop functionality‑driven roadmaps that minimise technical debt and support organisational scale‑up
- Partner with the Business Process Office to align business processes with existing Business Central capabilities, limiting the need for customisation and new systems
- Structure and document requirements for new applications or extensions where gaps are clearly justified
- Establish reference architectures and integration patterns, including data platforms, integration services, event‑driven architectures, APIs, and master data management
- Lead architecture governance activities, including design reviews, non‑functional requirements, security and compliance, and cost optimisation, in alignment with enterprise architecture standards
- Model end‑to‑end flows from PLM and BOM management through production execution to shipment and invoicing, ensuring Business Central remains the system of record where applicable
- Promote fit‑to‑standard configurations within Business Central, defining extensions only where clear and sustainable business value exists
- Collaborate with data and BI teams to enable operational and executive reporting, ensuring data quality and agreed SLAs
- Architect discrete manufacturing solutions covering demand planning, MRP, production scheduling, routings, work centres, labour capture, traceability, rework flows, and shop‑floor or device data capture into MES platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience delivering ERP, CRM, and enterprise business application solutions, including 3–5 years in solution architecture or senior consulting roles
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ideally in manufacturing or supply‑chain‑driven environments
- Proven MES implementation and integration experience
- Demonstrated ownership of Order‑to‑Cash process implementations
- Solid experience designing and delivering cloud‑based integration architectures
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Customer Engagement platforms
- Experience integrating PLM systems with Business Central and MES for controlled release processes and BOM synchronisation
- Exposure to rapid prototyping cycles and new product commercialisation
- Experience with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), DevOps/ALM practices for Dynamics solutions, and extension best practices within Business Central
- Bilingual English and French (written and spoken)

My client is seeking a Functional Solutions Architect – Business Applications with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. In this role, you will lead the design and evolution of enterprise application processes, ensuring alignment between business processes and application capabilities.
Working closely with the Business Process Office (BPO) and cross‑functional delivery squads, you will own the technical aspects of application‑driven processes, supporting the rollout of new components across the Order‑to‑Cash lifecycle, manufacturing execution (MES), and related operational domains. You will act as a subject‑matter expert across a portfolio of business applications, with Business Central as a core system.
