Position Title:

Environmental Housekeeping/Laundry Aide.(COVID vaccine recommended NOT required)

Reports to:

Environmental Service Manager.

Position Summary:

The Environmental Housekeeping Aid contributes to providing a safe and clean environment for Saint Luke's Place, Long term care home.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a janitorial/housekeeping position is an asset, but not required.

Must be able to multi-task and preform duties efficiently under limited supervision.

Ability to operate machinery - Scrubbers, buffers, etc.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to push, pull and lift heavy equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

Duties include mopping, vacuuming, equipment cleaning, changing drapes, collecting laundry and garbage, floor care, wall washing, vent and ceiling and non-clinical space: patient rooms, common areas, meeting rooms, washrooms, staff areas, and other specialty areas as required.

Job Types:
Part-time, Casual

Salary:
From $19.06 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Saint Luke's Place home is experienced in managing respiratory illnesses and takes swift action to halt the spread of the virus through rigorous infection management practices and procedures.

Experience:

- housekeeping/laundry: 1 year (preferred)
