"Account Assistant" with the following job description and requirements:
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements.
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax, and other bills.
- Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
- Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services. Prepare payroll and record employee attendance biweekly.
- Manage employee group benefits plan. Generate T4's & ROE's and financial Reporting including bills to pay, cashflow, etc.
- Creation and generation of reports from Sales data. Preparing Yearend accounting close.
- Payment of WCB and preparation of the payroll report. Answer any queries made during audit.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management if required.
- Prepare Sales invoices.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers for AR/AP (Account receivable / Account payable).
- Other work as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping.
- Must have 3 years handson Bookkeeping experience in any medium or large size organization preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Motivated, selfstarter, take initiative and solve problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail.
- Must be a team player and ability to work in a fastpaced changing environment.
