PeerConnect Pharmacy is looking for a
Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Richmond, BC.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist with the preparation of prescriptions and the dispensing of medications.

You will ensure that all medication is dispensed in a timely manner and will support the pharmacist in the daily operations.

You will also be involved in Outreach work delivering medications to patients in our Richmond Community


Responsibilities

• Prepare, pack and label packages of medication following all safety procedures
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure that medications are of high quality and free of defects
• Receive, verify and stock medications per protocol
• Inspect packages to ensure that they are complete and in good condition
• Restock expired medications and retrieve them from local pharmacies or online vendors (if available)
• Assist with inventory control, keeping track of inventory at a department or store level
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Communicate with pharmacists about inventory management and other matters (if needed)
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist or supervisor, as needed

Experience/Education/Licenses/Certifications/Certification Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have experience in a pharmacy setting (preferred).
• Must have experience in patient care. (preferred).
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Pay:
$18.50-$21.50 per hour
