VIA Rail Canada Inc. is currently seeking for 1 Agent to work for its Kingston station. The Agent will alternate work between the Station Agent and Counter Sales Agent positions.

We share your belief and have built our reputation on providing excellent service, in a safe and secure environment.You will guide passengers in the station or on the platform accordingly and you will also:
- create and modify reservations
- make announcements and provide information on train arrivals, departures as well as delays
- assist passengers with special needs
- perform general janitorial duties in and outside the station
Here are a few other tasks you will be responsible for:
- manipulate baggage, packages or other items such as sports equipment
- operate a motorized vehicle in narrow areas
- load supplies aboard the train

WORK LOCATION
You will work from Kingston station.
SCHEDULE
You are available to work on:
- variable schedule including weekends and holidays (with a minimum guarantee of 20 hours).
- possibility of layoff
TRAINING
You will follow a 4weeks training session which will take place in OTTAWA. You must successfully complete the training to obtain the position.
The training will start May 8th, 2023
SALARY
Hourly Station Attendant Rate:
$29.26/hour
Hourly Counter Sales Agent Rate:
$26.62/hour
Requirements:
You are well-suited for this challenge if you:
- have a strong ability to communicate with a smile, both in English and French
- have a minimum of one year of customer service experience
- possess a valid driver's license
- must be physically able to manipulate, on a repetitive basis, items weighing up to 23kg
