AECOM is seeking a
New Energies Program Expert/Lead to be based out of the following locations: Whitby, ON; Kitchener, ON; Markham, ON; Ottawa, ON; Mississauga, ON.
Job Summary:
The job incumbent will support the VP Engineering by providing growth strategies and financial planning to cultivate work in the areas of alternate fuels, with a priority on hydrogen production, decarbonization and carbon capture.
The individual will have a proven track record of increasing market share in the Canadian market, performing financial market assessment and forecasting and be known throughout the market.
Major Responsibilities:
More specifically the role will be executed by:
Creating opportunities for New Business Development and develop and implement multi-year growth strategy
Demonstrated networking capabilities with public and private clients, power, and energy industries, from inception through contract award and implementation
Leveraging an existing network of contacts in the alternate fuels and carbon capture areas to introduce and set up contacts to increase awareness of AECOM's capabilities and how they can service new clients
Knowledge of upcoming energy transformation opportunities and an understanding of local regulatory procedures
Knowledge of the financial, technical, and political aspects driving both the energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, smart energy and utility industries and energy infrastructure development
Lead in Client Retention & Relationship management in these business areas
Provide Funding mechanism options and mechanisms.
Present new services and enhance existing relationships, to increase available work in the business
Attend industry functions, identify opportunities for campaigns, and services, that will lead to an increase in business
Capture management and Bid management for major opportunities
Participate in Bid evaluation and Bid submission
Participate in project life cycle, project management and engineering coordination of ongoing and upcoming work
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree in Engineering
12+ years of experience in an Engineering and Commercial environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably be registered Professional Engineer
A Master's in Business Administration would be an asset.
Strong proposal management and excellent writing ability
Proven expertise in business development and market strategy development/execution
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex processes or ideas
Proven ability to collaborate with a strategic interdisciplinary team of business developmentand project professionals
Ability to collaborate and manage projects across disciplines and business lines for integrated delivery and growth
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated team-building ability and internal/external networking skills
Expertise in representing the Company in Bid Meeting, Submission of Quotations & Tender BidsSolid understanding of the "local" energy market, policies and players
Multi-disciplinary experience normally acquired through 10+ years of Engineering experience
