***: Reporting to the Raw Material Manager, the Account Manager will use their sales skills and experience to generate growth by managing existing business relationships and focusing on new business opportunities. The Account Manager provides information to customers, co-ordinates customer requirements with logistics and production to provide the best level of service. The Account Manager is accountable for achieving business goals and objectives.


POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • 75% Travelling to and from clients daily, travelling within the territory and occasional overnight travel for sales meetings.
  • Key Liaison between meat processors and grocer customers as well as Logistics support on all aspects of service.
  • Primarily responsible for growing current business and actively prospecting and securing new accounts.
  • Business development; including networking, trade shows and identifying opportunities within the Ontario market.
  • Effectively and proactively communicating with external and internal customers to facilitate achievement of company goals and targets.
  • Maintain and share knowledge on all relative industry and market changes.
  • Analysis and reporting on issues related to the industry and competitive market; offer constructive suggestions for overcoming challenges.
  • Work directly with Raw Material Manager on customer service and pricing strategies.
  • Communicate relevant information with Customer Service Coordinators, Supervisors and Raw Material Manager.
  • Build and manage key customer relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of the customer relationship contracts, service, billing and collections.
  • Commitment to building effective external relationships and professional networks (both individuals and organizations).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University or College Degree/Diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  • Progressive sales experience (3 to 5 Years) in business to business environment
  • Meat, agriculture or animal feed ingredients knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative, resultsoriented and driven selfstarter who can work independently as part of a team in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, actively listens to customer's needs.
  • Solid networking capabilities.
  • Polished and professional business approach and acumen with a strong bias for action.
  • Proven record of sales success in a serviceoriented industry.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or comparable customer relationship management (CRM) tool is an asset.
