    Job Description

    Mission

    As a Protection and Control (P&C) Engineer or Engineer-In-Training (EIT), you will participate in the design of high-level diagrams, contribute to large-scale electrical energy projects and collaborate with experienced professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.

    This hybrid role is based out of our offices in British Columbia (Vancouver, Kelowna, or Rossland).

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Design Control and Protection systems with 2D software (AutoCAD).
    • Develop project deliverables, including detail drawings, electrical diagrams, layouts, equipment sizing, etc.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team and project managers from other disciplines.
    • Prepare plans, drawings and calculations based on specifications provided.
    • Participate in the development of electrical Command and Protection systems.
    • Engage in the development of AC and DC power systems.
    • Conduct site surveys and coordinate with various engineering disciplines.
    • Possibility of occasional site work for start-up or monitoring.
    Qualifications
    • University Degree in Electrical engineering.
    • Registered (or eligible to register as) member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EBGC) or a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada.
    • More than 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies is an asset.
    • Work experience in the design of electrical systems is an asset.
    • Experience with major utilities in Canada is an asset.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD software is an asset.
    • Fluent in English (oral and written).
    • Basic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Autonomous, resourceful, and enjoys teamwork.
    The expected salary for this position ranges from $57,760.00 to $97,300.00. Salary could vary based on candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
