People and Culture Business Partner (HR Business Partner) you'll support our Tech, Product (North America), Finance, and other teams.

You'll report to the Senior Manager, People and Culture in Vancouver, Canada.


The People & Culture Business Partner's goal is to align People strategies with business objectives, encompassing workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development, while also ensuring effective change management, employee relations, and compliance.

This role serves as a key link between HR and business leaders, focusing on enhancing employee engagement, performance, and skill development to achieve organizational success.

  • We are a hybrid team you'll be in the office 3 days per week
  • Part of a Business Partnership Team with 7 people, and a People & Culture Department of 19 people supporting an organization of 775 employees

What You'll Do:


  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with function leaders to develop and implement people strategies that align with business goals.
  • Workforce Planning: Support operational workforce planning to address future needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Change Management: Support and facilitate organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and mínimal disruption.
  • Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to build a highperforming workforce.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, mediating disputes, leading investigations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Performance Management: Provide guidance to managers on performance management, reviews, goal setting, and feedback processes.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Facilitate training to managers in partnership with the Talent and Learning Development team.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the compensation team to design and implement competitive salary ranges, and support with annual and adhoc compensation reviews.
  • HR Analytics: Utilize HR data and analytics to inform decisions, track trends, and provide insights to function leaders.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop strategies in partnership with function leaders to enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.
  • Organizational Development: Analyze and support leaders in redesigning organizational structures and roles to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Employee Lifecycle Support: Support with onboarding new employees by supporting leaders with having onboarding plans in place. Perform exit interviews with outgoing employees to identify issues, track trends, and provide recommendations to leadership.

Work closely with other departments to support overall organizational objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach to people issues.


Who You Are:


  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources in a business partner or manager capacity.
  • You have experience supporting Vice President or C-Suite executives and their teams.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment, experience working with corporate employees.
  • Good understanding of HR legislation in both British Columbia and Ontario (e.g. employment standards, human rights, health & safety, privacy laws, etc).
  • Proven ability to successfully work with individuals at various levels of the organization.
  • Growthoriented and adaptable to change, comfortable with ambiguity and using judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment.
