Full Job Description
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Asst.

Front Office Manager is responsible for providing friendly and accurate service to guests, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the front desk and reservations teams.

This is a hands-on position that requires a high amount of customer interaction, where the Manager will be expected to assist front desk clerks and reservations throughout their shift.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the reception team;
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the department (distribution of work, development of schedules, supervision, performance evaluation, conflict management, etc.);
  • Resolve guest issues during and after stay while ensuring guest satisfaction;
  • Actively review and act on feedback received from guests through booking sites and other sources to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain a positive hotel image;
  • Hire, train and lead the customer service team (reception, reservation and night audit) to maintain the desired level of service and in accordance with hotel service standards;
  • Asst Front Office Manager to prepare schedule and payroll;
  • Communicate and coordinate with other hotel departments, especially housekeeping and maintenance;
  • Ensure that hotel customer service standards, policies and procedures are maintained at all times;
  • Hold regular meetings with department team members;
  • Verification of reservations, rates and followup with special requests;
  • Monitor room inventory, types and categories;
  • Other duties assigned by the Front Office Manager / General manager

Requirements:


  • Have experience as a Asst. Guest Services Manager or Asst. Front Desk Manager (minimum 1 year)
  • Knowledge of Visual One PMS will be an asset
  • Experience with union environment an asset
  • Good time management
  • Excellent in communication, interpersonal relations, and administration
  • Ability to work under pressure in a very fast paced work environment
  • Have a sense of organization and an ability to promote teamwork
  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Types:

From $52,000.00 per year
