Averton is an experienced and award-winning homebuilder, community developer and construction management company and we're looking to add a
Drafting Lead to our drafting team to aid in the creation of accurate and consistent plans for our current and future projects.
This role will play a key part in executing the company's drafting efforts by creating plans for unit specific release, as well as supporting the current drafting team with drafting initiatives.
As the Intermediate Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Complete drafting and design for current projects as assigned by the Project or Production Manager
- Aid and Maintain Averton company drafting standards and standard operating procedures
- Stay up to date with software updates and new software options that may be available
- Actively participate in safety program to ensure all aspects of Averton are functioning at the highest level of safety standards
- Lead the Drafting team in maintaining accurate and uptodate filing and cataloguing of company drafting standards, including but not limited to completion of base model and model option drawing maintenance due to changes in Alberta Building Code, National building code, evolving municipal standards, site revisions, best practice, Schedule A revisions, etc
- Complete site walk throughs on a regular basis to ensure site site actuals aligned with the preconstruction plan, schedule A, and budget
- Standard working conditions will be inoffice, with site visits as required
On your resume we will be looking for the following qualifications:
3 to 5 years of Drafting related experience in the residential industry:- A degree or certificate in Architecture or Architectural Technology
- Thorough understanding of ArchiCAD or AutoCAD software
- High attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of design principles, customer service skills and professionalism
- BimX Experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to maintain highquality standards while working with multiple projects
