What is the opportunity?
RBC is a leader in Corporate Citizenship in Canada, and well respected internationally.
With over $100 million in community investment each year, one of our highest priorities is supporting the communities in which we work and live.
In this role, you will RBC's primary community investment focus areas:RBC Emerging Artists, RBC Future Launch, and RBC Tech for Nature.
You will assist with strategy development, impact measurement, administration, donation processing, reporting, internal and external digital and online content creation as well as interfacing with both charities and RBC stakeholders.
What will you do?
- Support the development and execution of social impact strategies, including related donation and community activation portfolios
- Conduct research to stresstest as well as track and measure social impact
- Support portfoliolevel disclosures for external and internal stakeholders including the Board of Directors of the RBC Foundation
- Lead the sourcing, development and scaling of partnerships with the charitable and academic sectors
- Ensure social impact strategies incorporate local considerations and are relevant in various geographical markets (national & international)
- Help manage a significant multimillion dollar budget for the RBC Foundation by reviewing & evaluating national and international donation requests
- Project manage and deliver initiatives, aligning with strategy roadmap and goals
- Collaborate with Brand and Communications to identify and implement joint initiatives to enhance the RBC brand and reputation in the community, raise awareness of donations programs, and increase employee engagement
- Develop, recommend and contribute content used in internal and external communications
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelors or Master's degree in a related field, including sustainability, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, marketing, communications or the arts
- Ability to build and manage strong stakeholder partnerships
- Strong research, written and verbal communications skills
- Exceptional Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
Nice-to-have
- 3+ years related experience in social impact, financial services, or management consulting roles
- Specialized knowledge and proven experience related to social and environmental impact topics (e.g. youth employment, naturebased solutions, creative arts, diversity and inclusion, etc.)
- Experience managing significant national and global relationships with sector leaders, charitable organizations and internal stakeholders
- Proven strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
