    Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is an 84-bed facility nestled in Collingwood, Ontario (about 90 minutes north of Toronto), catering to over 74,000 permanent residents and 3.5 million yearly visitors from Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Clearview, and the Blue Mountains. Offering acute care, emergency services, diagnostic facilities, inpatient units, specialty care like obstetrics and orthopaedics, as well as outpatient services such as dialysis and various clinics, CGMH is committed to providing top-notch care locally.

    Current Immunization Record Requirement:
    All applicants must have an up-to-date immunization record, including two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization, except for approved exemptions under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

    The Opportunity:
    A Medical RPN is a crucial team player involved in delivering quality care through various means to achieve optimal functionality. From supportive and preventative care to rehabilitation and palliative measures, an RPN's scope of practice involves providing direct care to individuals and groups with predictable outcomes. Complex cases are handled collaboratively with RNs and other healthcare team members.

    Qualifications:

    • Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
    • One year of relevant nursing experience preferred
    • Precision in performing job duties with keen attention to detail
    • Exemplary customer service skills
    • Dedication to creating a safe and supportive environment for all
    • Adherence to safety regulations as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Effective written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
    • Basic computer proficiency
    • Commitment to professional growth and development
    • Capability to handle physical demands of the role
    • Proven track record of outstanding attendance and performance
    • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
    • Independence in work and effective collaboration with the healthcare team

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    As a part of the healthcare team, an RPN contributes to patient assessment, treatment, care provision, and health promotion within set standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
