Warehouse Assistant - Flooring Company

We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our success.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager as a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics processes.
Responsibilities included (but not limited to) are for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, cutting material, handling palletized material, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and growing company in the flooring industry.Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of flooring materials
- Accurately record and document received inventory
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery or pickup
- Assist with material deliveries
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and regulations
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Previous experience in a warehouse preferred
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Able bodied with the ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of flooring materials and industry is a plus
