The Team
Global Technologies Applications (GTA) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Scotiabank's Corporate, Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Build positive working relationships with stakeholders involved in changes to the Global Technology Applications (GTA) environment
- Coordinate with cross functional architecture team to schedule Architecture Review presentations
- Proactively maintain a forward view of project demand for architecture advice and governance
- Chair pregovernance review meetings between projects and Enterprise Architects to help guide solution designs and key design decisions, in line with the Enterprise IT architecture vision and Standards
- Chair architecture governance meetings, such as, Architecture Review Board, Technical Design Authority, to formally review and approve solution designs and key design decisions
- Communicate the highlight results/ outcomes from architecture governance forums to the wider stakeholder community and followup outstanding action items to closure.
- Track and followup technical debts incurred in projects and drive action plans with stakeholders for addressing them.
- Create management review reports for all projects presented in various design review committee.
- Ensure compliance of all projects and programs in terms of alignment to all the Architecture governance processes involved in the Bank's enterprise delivery framework
- Provide ideas for continuous improvement of Architecture governance processes, documentation management, management reporting
- Ensure that key architecture artefacts such as the Architecture Vision, Landscape Views, Roadmaps, Standards and Principles are maintained and updated regularly.
- Ensure that key architecture artefacts are effectively utilised and continuously improved in line with changes to the business and technology environment
