Reporting to the Manager, Systems and Infrastructure, the M365 Specialist main role is to assist with all aspect of Mobis's Migration to M365 as well as provides technical support for a multi-site fast pace Windows environment.

This role is onsite in Markham Ontario. The position is a contract positon with the possibility to turn in to a full time position.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborate with the manager of Systems and Infrastructure at Mobis Canada, Mobis HQ and other partners to discuss, plan, test and migrate Mobis Canada to Corporate M365 tenant.
  • Implement infrastructure changes (Windows servers, Cisco network and firewalls AD, MS Exchange and other solutions) needed to complete the migration of M36
  • Provide support for PCs/laptops, IP phones(Physical and soft phones) printers (Laser, MFP and thermal), network (wired and wireless), servers (Windows) and other systems.
  • Support onsite users in a multi site office (80%) and Distribution center (20%) environment and the remote Calgary distribution center.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provision and setup monitors, desktop and laptops for new users.
  • Refresh hardware based on a 5 year cycle.
  • Account administration for AMOS system and other systems.
  • Assist new hires during the onboarding process.
  • Create documentation of the IT environment, IT process and technical instructions.
  • Manage, asset tag, track and maintain inventory of all IT assets.
  • Work with other infrastructure teams and third party vendors to support the environment.
  • Participate in new infrastructure projects.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • The Role requires a System admin generalist with a good mix of Network design and administration with Firewalls, routers and switches, Server build and support experience, Azure and M365 migration experience from Onperm to cloud.
  • 5+ years' experience working as desktop support or Jr system admin in a Microsoft AD and Windows environment (Win 10 and 11).
  • 3 year experience configure and troubleshooting cabling, LAN, WIFI and WAN in a Cisco networking.
  • 3 year experience with implementing, migration and supporting M365 environments.
  • 3 year experience with implementing, migration and supporting MS exchange environments.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills (hardware, software, network, etc).
  • Experience with mobile phones and tablets (Apple and Android).
  • Postsecondary education in technology or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to think on your feet and take a proactive approach to resolving issues at the root cause.
  • Solid time management skills and working collaborative in a small tight knit team.
  • Ability to handle stressful situation from start to resolution (dealing with customers and outages).
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Key project in the 2024:

  • M365 migration from Onprem to cloud.
  • Build a new infrastructure environment to facilitate the M365 migration.
  • Wireless LAN controller and AP replacement project in Markham Distribution center.
  • Replace or migrate data warehouse server hardware.
  • RF scanner refresh phase 1 (3 year project).
  • PC/laptop refresh for 2024.
