What You Will Be Doing


Reporting to the Head of Proposals and Consultant Databases, you will supervise and lead four Proposal Specialists in the delivery of timely, high-quality proposals for the institutional and private client sales teams.

This is a hands-on supervisory role.

The Team Leader is expected to be extremely knowledgeable of the processes and have a deep understanding of the role of a Proposal Specialist.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and directing the daytoday work of the Proposal Specialists to ensure the timely and effective completion of Request for Proposals (RFPs) & Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs); CLRS content items; support files such as AUM, biographies, etc.; the creation of related sales support materials (such as standard DDQs, product overview documents and other business development initiatives); timely updating and maintenance of responses; and responding to ad hoc requests.
  • Working with team to set goals and provide regular feedback both informal and through performance reviews.
  • Managing the RFP & DDQ pipeline, assigning RFPs & DDQs with consideration given to capacity of individuals on the team and required learning and growth opportunities.
  • Reviewing RFPs & DDQs, as required, for quality control, consistency and clarity of key strategic messages and branding.
  • Backing up the Proposal Specialists as required.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
  • Working closely with the Manager, Proposals & Consultant Databases to execute on various projects.

About You

Investment Knowledge - You have an undergraduate or graduate degree in business or finance-related field along with investment management knowledge and experience or exceptional leadership skills gained through your work experience.

Collaborative Communication - You can articulate yourself clearly, both verbal and written, you work well with others and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • You have experience or the desire to lead and develop high performing teams.
