Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a full time, contract (40 hours/week) Program Coordinator in our Red Deer Immigration and Settlement office.
This is a contact secondment position that ends on March 31, 2024.Job Summary:
As a Program Coordinator, you will create, enhance and maintain programs that support new immigrants and refugees and their transition into life in Canada.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying service gaps and cultivating creative solutions to meet those needs
- Coordinating program activities
- Facilitate and attend meetings
- Facilitate and conduct needs assessments
- Working with clients and Case Management counselors onetoone to help them troubleshoot challenges
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with other services and agencies to harness available community resources
- Building and maintaining relationships and collaboration with other programs
- Prepare and maintain database documentation
- Coordinate a client centered approach to Case management
- Support Case Management counselors
- Write reports
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Fluency in English
- Related Degree/Diploma in Human Services or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working with newcomers to Canada
- Strong computer skills
