_ (Arbor Care)_ is currently seeking a Labourer to start in the Calgary area on a full-time basis. Wright Tree Service of Canada, Ltd. provides vegetation management, storm restoration, and work planning services to utility companies and their communities across the country. This position starts at $ per hour, dependent on experience.This position will be predominantly located in Calgary, AB. You must be able and willing to work in Calgary to be eligible for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Follows departmental policies, plans and procedures.
- Assists to assure that all tasks assigned are completed in a timely and professional manner with mínimal disruption to client operations and/or to public usage.
- Helps crew operations with carrying out the requested work according to requirements.
- Loads or unloads materials to be used.
- Handles and transports materials.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment.
- Sets up and takes down equipment for various programs, prepares facilities for programmed use
- Helps with setup and take down of equipment for various programs, prepares facilities for programed use.
- Work areas are assigned by the client over a large geographic region. Frequent travel will be expected.
- Helps to maintain work area, storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes good safety practices and in compliance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D, preferred.
- Previous experience working in pesticide related field.
- Valid First-Aid and CPR cards.
- Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks.
- Ability to pick up responsibilities quickly and adapt to change.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge and understanding of OH & S rules and guidelines.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Valid driver's license
- Negative drug screen result(s).
