General Description


The mechanical assembler works with our technical team to provide support towards the following product lines: TSLOTS, Troax, Rollon and Jokab and other mechanical products.

Mechanical assembler should assemble mechanical parts, pieces, product using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications and drawings.

Must be able to obtain parts and build assemblies utilizing specified work instructions, process Bill of Materials (BOMs) drawings and production orders, thereby ensuring quality is maintained on a wide variety of components.


Responsibilities

  • Must read and interpret production work instructions, production orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and quality plans to accurately assemble aluminum extrusion frames, valve manifolds and other industrial automation products
  • Analyze assembly blueprint and specifications and plan assembly operations
  • Ability to assemble SMC Manifolds and Troax Perimeter Guarding
  • Need to understand the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and how they are related to this position
  • Locate, identify, and retrieve components for production
  • Operate various types of pneumatic/power tool, handheld tools, and torque wrenches
  • Must possess a keen attention to detail and able to multitask
  • Must have the aptitude to inspect all parts during assembly and follow procedures for nonconforming material
  • Must be able to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow instruction set forth in MSDS
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule assignments
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Operate and test assembled products and tool assemblies
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • Tests and checks manifolds for quality before being released to the customer
  • Provide backup help to shipping & receiving
  • Participate in regular Inventory count and manage the inventory
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Should have reliable transportation

Work experience requirements

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly within a team or independently
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Minimum 2 years mechanical assembly experience required

Education requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Basic reading skills; must be able to follow directions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Lift Truck Certification and Safety Training would be an asset
