Your Role and Its Impact:


The IT Contracts Financial Services Officer will be responsible to manage the financial viability and sustainability of our digital services, including the intricacies of cost recovery processes, provide accurate reporting to stakeholders on multiple levels, across multiple platforms, while achieving successful year end balancing of our digital service recoveries.

Provide leadership to clients in navigating the sustainable design, build, implementation, and operational financial management for the Digital products and services.


The IT Contract Financial Services Officer will provide service to clients within the NS Government2, NS Health, and the IWK.


In more detail, the Officer will:

Act as the technical authority in prospective, information gathering, initial meetings evaluating service proposals, technical proposals from both internal and external stakeholders, and making implementation recommendations to senior stakeholders for sustainable financial solutions in cost recoveries.

Provide leadership to clients in navigating the sustainable design, build, implementation, and operational financial management for the Digital products and services.

Coordinate with external suppliers to ensure that the smooth financial operation of our services.

Ensure fair and equitable processes as pertain to procurement regulations within Government.

Provide mentorship and/or supervision for junior integration officers, as required.


Assist with building a culture of continuous service delivery and improvement, ensuring that key processes are regularly analyzed, maintained and improved.


Budget management, reconciliation, accruals, forecasting, projects, funding requests (MA's), operations of new contracts, manual journal entries, escalations and triage and cost recoveries.

Able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in assimilating granular financial transactions.

Passionate for precision and solutioning data challenges.

A clear, articulate communicator, with presentation skills equally at ease presenting to senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders.

Able to demonstrate robust knowledge and experience in Excel.

Accustomed to working under pressure, thriving in a deadline driven environment.

An excellent relationship builder within, and beyond, government.

Experience in IT Technology and understands current technology trends.


Experience & Education:

A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology + 5 years related experience; or graduation from a recognized Information Technolo
