Position Summary:


_A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed as a unionized contractual appointment to assist the Course Supervisor in a classroom environment.

  • The McGill exam sessions take place over two weeks after the end of classes, and Course Lecturers are expected to be available on the day of a scheduled final exam and are required to grade final exams as part of their contract._
  • Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person. Should anything prohibit inperson teaching activities, courses will migrate to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system._
