We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced part-time trainers on an Independent Contractor basis, to join our dynamic team at Reconnect Community Health Services.

As a trainer, you will play a pivotal role in educating and empowering individuals working in the community by delivering high-quality training sessions on various health care and workplace topics, in the areas of:


  • Seniors Services
  • Health and Community Safety
  • Mental Health and Addiction Services
  • Therapeutic Services
  • Family and Caregiver Services
  • Human Resources
  • Management and Supervison
  • Privacy and Security
  • Assessment Tools
  • Health Equity
  • Program Evaluation

We are looking for trainers who can:

  • Captivate and engage audiences through interactive and dynamic training sessions on diverse health care topics and workplace topics, leaving a lasting impact on participants;
  • Customize training content to cater to the unique needs and interests of individuals, embracing their diverse backgrounds, cultural sensitivities, and educational levels;
  • Utilize innovative instructional techniques and tools, ranging from immersive presentations and captivating case studies to handson activities, ensuring a stimulating learning experience;
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, participant feedback, and engagement, constantly enhancing training initiatives.

What you will need:


  • Post-Secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience that demonstrates your expertise;
  • A proven track record as a trainer or educator, ideally in a community health care setting, showcasing your ability to inspire and empower diverse audiences;
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, enabling you to convey complex information effectively to individuals from diverse backgrounds;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop captivating training materials and adapt content to cater to various learning styles and levels of understanding;
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for training purposes, including presentation software and virtual training platforms.

Reconnect Community Health Services is a not-for-profit health service organization located in the west end of Toronto. We provide services for seniors, caregivers, and people living with mental health and addictions concerns.
