LDD is currently looking to hire a
Finance Assistant to join their team based in Camborne on a full time, permanent basis.
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing and payments in relation to LDD Group and will also assist the Finance Manager with month end reporting.
Duties
- Responsible for fullcycle accounts payable processing in relation to LDD Group
- Ensuring that all supplier invoices received include proper coding and have required supporting documentation
- Processing supplier and intercompany invoices within the target timeline
- Ensuring that accurate and up to date records are maintained
- Ensuring that all authorisations comply with procedures
- Reviewing supplier statements and reconciling supplier accounts
- Ensuring inhouse training for purchase orders is provided and kept up to date
- Raising monthly intercompany recharges
- Completion of daily & monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparation of weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payment runs ready for authorisation
- Ensuring all purchase orders are coded correctly and authorised in line with authorisation matrix
- Processing all purchase invoices through authorisation procedure, matching to relevant purchase order, and ultimately inputting into accounts package in a timely manner
- Close monitoring of invoices received to ensure being processed in target timeline
- Completing intercompany processing in a timely manner to adhere to reporting deadlines
- Processing of personnel expenses and credit card statements
- Ensuring all supplier queries, internal and external, are responded in a timely manner
- Calculation and updating of supplier payments forecast to ensure accurate cashflow reporting
- Reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure all accounts are accurate
- Posting of monthly time charges and depreciation
- Assist with the preparation of month end journals including prepayments
- Assisting with yearend audit requirements as necessary
- Assisting the Finance Manager with any ad hoc duties from time to time
Required
- Minimum AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 with prior experience in a similar role
- Prior exposure to foreign currency transactions would be advantageous
- Experience of month end journals and group elimination balances
- In house training to be provided on Navision accounting package
- Experienced in purchase ledger or accounts payable
- High level of IT aptitude, particularly in the use of MS Excel and MS SharePoint
- Exceptional accuracy and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible and openminded approach to your prioritisation of work
- Able to work effectively without close supervision and as part of a team
- Thorough attention to detail
