Description
The
Production Technician role involves adhering to all
True Fire & Co. Ltd. Standard operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI).


The Production Technician is a universal role, as they are able to work in different departments, such as Growing, Packaging, Processing and Sanitation.

Working under the supervision of the department manager, all tasks must be performed in the respected and prescribed manner - depending on the department area.


Growing tasks can include maintenance of the cannabis plants including preparation of grow rooms and media, cloning, transplanting, pest scouting, pruning, defoliation and harvesting of product.


Processing tasks can include processing wet or dry harvested flower, hand or machine trimming cannabis, weighing, labelling and bulk packaging cannabis.


Sanitation tasks can include - maintaining common areas, sanitizing tools and supplies daily, performing the required grow room cleaning according to standards of operation, as well as cleaning all rooms as determined by Quality Assurance.

Packaging tasks can include all tasks in the cannabis packaging sequence, including labeling final packaged product, and bulk packaging.


Major Duties:


  • Working with a group or individually.
  • Perform safe and effective pest scouting, defoliations and pruning, harvesting, processing and packaging of cannabis.
  • Employees must ensure proper sanitation of area equipment, tools and supplies, production rooms and processing areas as per True Fire's Standard operating procedures and Work instructions.
  • Destroy plant debris and waste product, recording the data following the existing approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for destruction of product.
  • Document all related activities in the Master Batch Production Record (MBPR) and associated forms for each cannabis batch. Follow and document clone, plant and product transfer across Vegetative, Growing, Flowering, Harvesting, and Drying rooms.
  • Maintain a clean working environment, possessing an attitude of high standards of cleanliness be the example for crew members.
  • Familiarity with pest and pathogen controls is considered an asset.
  • A growers safety pesticide license is considered an asset and is required to treat for insects, disease, molds, and mildew.
  • Place/attach biological bugs as required by the Master Grower
  • Have foresight to recognize potential hazards, production problems and contamination risks; report findings and/or concerns to Manager
  • Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance team, follow checks and balances for quality, efficacy, and safety, minimizing contamination and waste of product.
  • Working with the packaging team, perform safe and effective, weighing, labelling and packaging of cannabis product.
  • Properly and safely package product from bulk packaging to final packaging, observing approved techniques that minimize contamination and waste of product.
  • Ability to safely operate assigned machinery or required departmental equipment.
  • Working with the team members, monitor all cannabis products, ensuring product is free from risk of contamination; be able to identify risk.
  • Receive incoming materials and prepare shipments of cannabis for transport following regulation and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Coordinate and communicate with employees managing the electronic inventory software.
  • Ensure all aspects of the packaged product are compliant to specifications (labels, forms) before leaving the packaging area, immediately notify Quality Assurance of any nonconformance.
  • Prepare shipments of cannabis for transport following Cannabis Regulation and approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Duties:


  • Perform safe practices and daily work tasks, follow work schedules, along with participating in performance reviews and investigations.
  • Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere across all departments.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and nondisclosure.
  • Comply with Good Production Practices (GPP) protocol and regulations.
  • Comply with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Head of Operations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
