The Plant Controller is a key member of the management team and is responsible for maximizing plant profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintains accurate records of all assets, liabilities, and plant transactions in accordance with procedures and direction from the corporate controller's office
Prepares and maintains cost standards for all products produced
Measures productivity savings
Forecasts manufacturing variances
Manages and coordinates the preparation of departmental and plantwide budgets, forecasts, and operating reports
Coordinates the preparation of the annual Capital Budget and related financial justification, expenditure control, and objective analysis
Ensures that all reports, accounting data, and monthly closings are completed to meet Operations and Corporate due dates
Takes joint responsibility with the Plant Manager for the planning, taking, controlling, and reporting of physical inventory counts
Prepares financial justifications for capital requests
Plays a key role in assisting Plant Management in driving productivity savings to budgeted commitments
Assists with internal/external audits
Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications:

Required:

Fouryear degree in a related field accounting preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling.
Being bilingual in French and English is a requirement.
Ability to collaborate and work.
Good autonomy and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to travel occasionally if required.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize.
