Manage ongoing construction projects throughout the GTA
Being able to interpret Architectural plans with a keen eye to detail
Review the drawings and specifications as they are being prepared, recommending alternative solutions whenever design details affect construction feasibility or schedules
A high level of coordination with many trades during the construction process and scheduling the trades accordingly
Coordinate with the building inspectors of several municipalities and ensure that everything constructed meets the City's requirements and that everything on the job site runs smoothly.
Conduct regular inspections of each individual unit and rectify any deficiencies throughout the construction process.
Setting and ensuring that tight deadlines are satisfied
Working in a team environment and making sure that everyone is on the same page and aware of what needs to be done and by whom
Maintaining a high level of safety as outlined by the safety consultant
Ensuring a high quality of workmanship on the site
The "Scope of Works" for several subcontractors will be shared with you. You will be responsible for managing and ensuring that the works are completed according to the scope.
Minimum of 10 years experience in a Site Superintendent position.
Minimum of 10 years managing low/mid/high rise residential and commercial developments.
Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related degree/certifications
Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related degree/certifications

Strong communication and coordination skills and abilities.

Additional Skills

Handson construction experience is a must
Carpentry skills is an asset
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Be able to handle a high level of responsibility
Time management skills, able to prioritize
