The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including reinsurance pricing analysis, interaction with our Broking teams, client interaction as well as research projects.

Position can be Vice President level, depending on experience

Key Duties

Provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for Gallagher Re's Senior Actuaries in their work for clients and prospects.

Account Analysis and Support

Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy
Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
Manage projects and assist in training of staff
Provide valueadded service to clients as needed
Market Research and Development
Assist Senior Actuaries in market and line of business studies to promote Gallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re including other Actuaries, Catastrophe Modelers, Rating Agency Advisory, ERM and Capital Markets Associates

Qualifications:

ACAS, FCAS or near ACAS
5+ years in P&C actuarial role(s)
Ideally including experience in reinsurance or primary pricing roles
Strong analytical and communication skills
Experience with/knowledge of property and casualty and accident and health insurance
Working knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Python and R a plus
Experience with stochastic modeling and cat models a plus
