We are currently looking for a
705 Fleet Specialist based out of our Calgary, AB base.

The 705 Fleet Specialist is responsible for supporting the Central Mountain Air maintenance control system as it relates to the applicable fleet type.

Fleet Specialist reports to the Maintenance Control Coordinator (MCC).

A valid AME M2 license and a minimum of five years of experience on DHC-8 and/or Dornier 328 is required for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance control system for CMA's fleet of DHC8's and Dornier 328's.
  • Maintain compliance to CMA SMS, MCM, and MCP policies and procedures.
  • Authority for this position included, full authority to remove aircraft from operational status; Flight Permit signing authority; Tolerance approval authority; and MEL extension approval authority
  • Coordinate production of the weekly repeat snag report
  • Coordinate production of the monthly reliability report
  • Assist in the review of applicable AD's and SB's for possible implementation
  • Provide technical assistance related to recurring defects and reliability
  • Maintaining configuration and modification planning and budgeting for the applicable fleet type
  • Coordination of the quarterly reliability meetings
  • Oversight and coordination of Major Repair and Modifications and associated paperwork distribution
  • Normal liaison for operational entities
  • Coordination and review of engine health monitor trending
  • Continuous review of aircraft reliability trends and the initiation of changes to the maintenance program for improvement
  • Support for maintenance program change and development on type
  • Training syllabus coordination for elementary work and AMO training
  • Rotable parts requirements review.
  • Coordinate heavy maintenance visits (HMV)
  • Initiating maintenance department Safety Bulletins and Technical Information Bulletins
  • Support for SDR submission
  • Actively participate in the Company's Safety Management System program
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Control Coordinator and DOM.

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Valid AME M2 license required, with a minimum of five years of experience on DHC8 and /or Dornier 328 experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC)
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to function in a fastpaced environment, meeting constraining deadlines.
  • High level of knowledge of aircraft maintenance schedules and maintenance programs

Work Conditions:


  • Shift work, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
