Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Arena Operator.

As an Operator, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the safe operation of the facility.

This position requires an operations aptitude as well as strong customer service skills, and the ability to learn the operation of an ice resurfacer.

Duties:

- in the absence of the General Manager and Operations Manager, give work direction to all staff on duty, and responsible for the safety of all.

• Implementing, maintaining and enforcing Nustadia's Best Practices and Policies
• Liaison with UofS staff, tenants, the users of the facillity and the public with respect to operational issues of the facility.
• Training and supervising part time operations staff to ensure safe operation of the facillity
• Complete arena maintenance inspections and record in maintenence/inspection logbooks
• Monitior refrigeration plant and record readings
• Perform daily ice maintenance functions, and operation of Ice Resurfacer and Ice Edger, always maintaining a safe ice surface thickness
• Ice installation and removal
• Custodial duties in all areas of the facility
• Troubleshoot/call contractors as required
• Complete general repairs to facility/equipment
• Ensduring all exits/entrances are kept clear of debris and snow and the facility is kept neat and clean and tidy
• Work on days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required by the needs of the facility
• Special event setup and teardown
• Carry out other duties and activities as may be required from time to time in meeting the requirements of the position

Pay:
$18.00-$20.17 per hour
