Promotions Manager

Overview:

Glitch, the ultimate retro video game bar, is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a promoter for either one night a week, or special events that could grow into a full time position,.

We are happy to start with running a weekly themed night to start, but would love for someone to eventually take over as a full time event manager.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Execution:

Conceptualize and organize themed events and parties, aligning with Glitch's retro gaming ambiance.
Coordinate logistics, including decorations, entertainment, and any additional elements required for successful events.
Collaborate with the bar manager to ensure seamless integration of events with regular programming, such as trivia nights, country nights, and DJ sessions.

Promotions and Marketing:

Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance for events and increase overall foot traffic.
Collaborate with local influencers, businesses, and gaming communities to expand promotional reach.
Utilize creative approaches to attract new customers while retaining existing ones.

Hosting Events:

Act as the host or emcee for Glitch's events, engaging with patrons and creating a lively and entertaining atmosphere.
Foster a sense of community by interacting with customers and encouraging participation in various activities.

Commission-Based Salary Opportunities:

Commission structure will involve a percentage of door sales generated from events organized by the manager.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in event planning.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills., both written and oral
Creativity and ability to think outside the box when planning and executing events.
Passion for retro gaming and a good understanding of gaming culture.
Knowledge of the local community and trends in nightlife and entertainment
Proven experience in sales or marketing, with a focus on promotions or event management
Strong public speaking abilities to engage and captivate audiences
Exceptional customer service skills to interact with clients and customers
Ability to analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform promotional strategies
